Kreiss & GFP – The State Of Slave EP – Electronical Reeds

Kreiss & GFP - The State Of Slave EP - Electronical ReedsThe Parisian duo is back on for a new EP of the most beautiful effect. After the success of their release Vis-A-Vis EP charted by Rennie Foster and Thomas Schumacher, they relapse into their so particular world where the music marries melancholy to the groove, producing tracks dancefloor as well as emotional or downtempo. This approach finds its full meaning in this new release that provides a broad overview of all their talent and potential.

The track The Consumence opens this EP with an atmosphere Deep / Minimal Techno. After a long atmospheric introduction, Renan Cadoret’s voice arrives gradually on a dackdrop of percussion. Mixing a powerful kick and a deep bass, the track literally transports its audience into Deep Techno areas extremely efficient. “State For A Track” offers a more Minimal approach built on a powerful kick, a hithat and synths that define the little scary mood of this title. This atmosphere is increasing progressively to explode during the break and knock out a dancefloor. The end title Waiting World Failure continues the exploration of dark environments with a track rich in synths and its surprising break. The occasional appearance of a slight kick provides a refreshing breath in this “abstract” universe.

Itokim – Colours EP – Electronical Reeds

Itkom - Colours EP - Electronical Reeds opens its geographical horizons by welcoming the Japanese artist, Itokim. The DJ from the Land of the Rising Sun is one of the worthy successors of Detroit Techno and as elsewhere, it is not surprising to see him supported by DJs such as Fabrice Lig, Laurent Garnier and Rennie Foster. After being released on Night Drive Music, Nice & Nasty and Fine Art Recordings, he entrusted his Colours EP to Franco-Belgian label for its tenth release.

From the first track onwards, Calling Out For Days, Itokim plunged into the maze of Detroit Techno with a powerful kick that recalls the great classics of the Motor City. This hard yet melodic sound, unique to the world of this city, is all that richness and depth through four tracks of the EP. Itokim faithfully respects this heritage through an authentic return to the roots yet tinged with this necessary modernity.
